WOW ... a heartfelt thank you. The rescue community is really one special group of people. And Ellie will vouch for that!

She is in an oxygen cage and receiving IV fluids and antibiotics. Today she is much more alert and is doling out kisses to the vet techs! They did try her off the oxygen for a bit, but her breathing got heavy and so she is back in the oxygen cage. We saw her this afternoon briefly and I must say, her eyes are much brighter today, she's eating like a champ and was sooooo happy to see us. The doctors are pleased with her progress and we all are hoping she continues to slowly improve! She's not out of the woods yet, but she is certainly on the right track. Go Go Miss Ellie!!

She needed a Christmas miracle and got one as she headed North during the snow storm before Xmas to her Rogers' Rescues foster home.

She is the cutest little black lab mix of a pup with eyes that are so unique. Both are half ice blue and half brown! She is absolutely adorable and despite a case of the sniffles, was having a ball in her foster home.

However, Ellie needs now needs a New Years miracle. Despite repeated rounds of various antibiotics, Ellie's sniffles worsened and on New Years Eve she was admitted to the animal hospital with a case of acute pneumonia.

Rogers' Rescues is doing everything to make sure Ellie gets the best possible care and attention so she pulls through this. Her vet bill is already $2500 and will likely surpass $3000.

If you'd like to be a part of Ellie's New Year's miracle, please go here to help us help Ellie. Even a few dollars will help defray her vet costs. And if you cannot donate, please take a moment to wish Ellie well. Good thoughts go a long way too!
