Then please take a minute to read about Mr. Bench. He's a good ole boy who found himself in a rural shelter in Kentucky, through no fault of his own. He made the long trip north, to his Rogers' Rescues foster home, where he has impressed his foster family with his gentle demeanor and wonderful manners.

Mr. Bench is a very young at heart 5 or 6-year-old Beagle Mix. What he's mixed with is anyone's guess. He has the gorgeous tri-colored markings of a beagle, along with the kind and compassionate family-oriented personality that beagles are known for. His mix makes him bigger than a beagle with his long, lanky legs. Please don't let the grey around his muzzle scare you away. This guy is young in mind, body, and spirit. He has so many great years left to live and love you and your family.

Mr. Bench has been a wonderful houseguest. He is housebroken and crate trained. He actually loves his crate and will sleep in it for hours with the door wide open. He's remarkably good on a leash. He loves to walk. He enjoys following his people around and a good game of fetch in the fenced in yard. Inside he enjoys watching movies or the game or even cartoons as long as he can curl up and take a nap. Mr. Bench is great with other dogs. He loves the toddlers in his foster home. No inappropriate chewing of their toys and not scared of their sudden movements or loud noises. Now cats can be tricky. If you have a cat that isn't going to run from him, then Mr. Bench is fine with cats. If you have a fraidy cat, one that will take one look at a dog and bolt, then Mr. Bench is going to give chase. He is not going to hurt your cat, he simply thinks this is a fun game that the cat is trying to play and he is more than happy to play along.

Mr. Bench is current on his vaccinations and is on monthly preventatives. He has been neutered.

Mr. Bench is looking for a person or family to call his own. He's a great dog that simply needs someone to meet him and fall in love with him and take care of him for the rest of his life. Are you that person????
